Boston – The Massachusetts Office of Travel & Tourism (MOTT) invites vacation seekers to visit Booth #427 at The Boston Globe Travel Show, taking place this weekend at the Seaport World Trade Center. The annual Travel Show opens to the public on Friday, February 19 at 5:30 p.m. and runs through Sunday, February 21 at 4:00 p.m.

The Massachusetts booth is being staffed by state tourism officials and representatives from the 16 regional tourism councils across the state, who are on-hand to share great travel ideas for vacationing in the Bay State in 2016.

In addition, MOTT is raffling off a “Win a Getaway for Two to Cape Cod” prize to a lucky winner, which includes lodging, dinner, gift cards and passes to museums, dune tours and whale watching. Stop by booth #427 to enter.

A number of travel destinations and companies are making special appearances at the MOTT booth throughout the weekend, including costumed characters from Plimoth Plantation, the Freedom Trail, Fenway Park, Polar Beverage and Davis Farmland. See schedule of special guests and appearances below.

Entering its 11th year, the Boston Globe Travel Show is a family-friendly event that showcases destinations around the world, as well as cultural and culinary presentations, advice from travel experts, and various activities for children and adults.

Massachusetts attracts 22.9 million domestic, 735,000 Canadian and 1.5 million overseas visitors each year, according to MOTT. For year-round information on visiting Massachusetts, go to massvacation.com.
