The Tourists concept is a 46-room hotel/resort, aimed at people with a passion for the outdoors, featuring expansive views of the forested riverside. The rooms are oriented for the picturesque views, and the venue offers several trails for hiking, riverside access for fishing or boating, and a suspension footbridge over the river for further easy access to these activities. Tourists will also feature a swimming pool with extensive wood decking around the pool and the outside the rooms. A small restaurant and adjacent courtyard is planned for the former four-car garage structure outside the farmhouse. And the farmhouse itself will be converted into a multi-use space including a meeting and private dining space on the first floor and massage, spa treatment and yoga spaces on the second floor.

Miraval, a high-end resort company, has purchased the resort and plans to renovate and enlarge the property with an expected grand re-opening as Miraval Lenox in 2018. The Resort will be fully operational during the renovations.

In May 2017, Mass MoCA debuted its new Building 6 exhibition space. This new 150,000 square foot expansion makes Mass MoCA the largest museum of contemporary art in the United States. This space supports both the museum’s increasing collection and dive into performing arts programing.
In February 2018, North Adams will one open a new, one-of-a-kind museum dedicated to all things dogs. Located blocks from the country’s largest contemporary art museum, Mass MoCA, Museum of Dog (M.O.D) will feature a private collection of dog inspired paintings, drawings, sculptures, photographs and accessories. The 8,000 square-foot historic space, at the merging point of Union Street and the Mohawk Trail, formerly housed Quinn’s Wallpaper & Paint. The museum will feature over 180 pieces from more than 50 notable artists ranging from William Wegman photographs to Mary Engel “Watch Dog” sculptures and rare dog collars dating back to the 1800s.

August 24, 2018, this integrated resort casino will enhance the entire urban center of Springfield. This mixed-used development project calls for a 250-room hotel with world-class amenities including a spa, pool and roof deck. With 125,000 square feet of gaming space and over 3,000 slot machines, 75 gaming tables, a poker room and a high limit VIP gambling area this facility will be state of the art. Additionally, there will be approximately 55,000 square feet of retail and restaurant space which will accommodate 15 shops and restaurants; and a multi-level parking garage.
